It also sounds that you just aren't good at dead reckoning your mouse position versus desired destination.
Moving the mouse and hitting a target is, or should be, purely instinctual after a relatively short time.
I don't need to think about, or even necessarily see, the movement that puts my mouse on target. It's a purely autonomic response. My muscle memory know exactly where and how far I need to move my hand to get to the desired position, as well as how to make sure my left hand on the movement keys is helping that positioning.
If you really can't do that, I don't know how to help you, really. Maybe take up a stringed instrument? The coordination and types of movement are similar.
