DOOM
Game Crashing on Startup + Console Errors
So I took a pretty long hiatus from playing DOOM since last year, and now when I try to launch it (and yes, I've made sure it's the latest version), it firstly takes like, 10-15 seconds even to start the application, then all I get is a black screen and eventually a popup console window with way too many lines of text (I can't scroll up to see beyond the very bottom of the code lines, either, because the console itself locks up). Since I can't post the image here, here's what the lines of text are:

Resource deleted with staticResource set: decalsthresholdsmoothness while loading renderParm:decalsthresholdsmoothness
Resource deleted with staticResource set: defaultsampler while loading renderParm:defaultsampler
Resource deleted with staticResource set: demonvisionenable while loading renderParm:demonvisionenable

And it continues on with various resources listed as being deleted until it made itself crash. I already tried verifying the integrity of the game files through Steam, yet it came up clean. I've disabled all of Window's securiy measures and closed applications that might be interfering with the game (i.e. Razer Cortex and the like), to no avail. I'm going to try rolling back my video drivers today, but it doesn't seem to be related to whatever is happening with the game files. I guess I could also try reinstalling the game.

Here are my system specs, all hardware running the latest drivers:

OS: Windows 10 64bit post-Fall Creators Update
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti
CPU: i7 4790K @4.0GHz
RAM: 16GB DDR3 2400MHz
Display: 1440p @165Hz w/G-Sync

If anyone has any input, I'd be eternally grateful.

there are two pictures from two folders insinde of the doom folder
delete all marked files on ur folders
verify integrity of local game cache files of doom
then try again...

I have the same problem here.... tryed the solution above, without success...

Try this launch option +r_renderAPI 0 Get rid of this launch option +r_renderAPI -2
These are the launch options
+r_renderAPI 0 = OpenGL or +r_renderAPI 1 = Vulkan
+r_renderAPI -2 is nothing as far as I know.
As Samael mentions, please post your specs.

Many thanks. Haven't played doom for 3 years as I couldn't get it to work. Just thought I would have another go read your solution and tried it. Works like a charm. I can not at long last finish the game.
