Is there a way to slow down the player?
I play campaign only but cannot find any settings that will reduce my speed. I constantly slam into walls by only tapping the directional buttons. I played the game back in 2016 when I was running a 660ti and made it quite far in the game until I stopped playing. Now that Eternal is on the cusp, I wanted to go back and finish but cannot get past the first group of demons. I am now running a gtx1080 and have everything set as high as possible and it doesn't slow anything down.

I don't care about slowing down the demons, I can handle them if I could just control my character. Any ideas?

You can't adjust the moving speed but "Field of view" can be adjusted in Video settings. A low setting will narrow the viewpoint and make the movement feel slower. High setting will make the view a little fisheyed and the gameplay will feel faster.

Yeah, I've tried adjusting FOV but it isn't so much a matter of "feeling" fast, I'm actually moving so fast that I slam into walls whenever I move. Wasn't sure if there was a setting I was missing but I seemed to have better control when I had my old card installed. Maybe I'm just getting older and slower? :)

Are you using a Steam controller or the keyboard? If you're using the controller, have you tried tweaking your Steam Controller advanced settings?

Ok, I think the issue was my rez. I was playing at 1080. I let GeForce set optimal setting which changed it to 3840x2160. I also set the FOV to 90, which was the lowest setting I could get. This made the game much more manageable. I'm using kb&m. Thank you for the suggestions!

well, i have the opposite problem. After playing a lot of Brutal Doom, I am actually disappointed that Doom 2016 is TOO slow for my liking. It is still a great game, but after playing Brutal Doom, 2016 feels like its going in slow motion.
