Verify game files in Steam and make sure GFX drivers are updated....no brainers. Other games ever do this? I can't think of much else without more info.
Also, obviously, make sure the in game setting is set to 1080p...most common problem with call in customer service when something won't turn on is if it's plugged in or not. Seems stupid, but true.
I am not using my monitor. It is a gaming laptop so I am using the screen on it. All drivers are updated. No other game does this and it is always set to 1080p..but launching the game changes it so when I got back to the control panel to change it it I will change and hit apply and it flashes back to 640x480.
I ws using vulkan but I will switch it back to Open GL and see if that makes a difference.
