I'm curious about where you are getting "blues" vibes out of the classic Doom sound track.
Please give me examples of actual trash metal in Doom. Mastermind's theme comes close, but to say that the soundtrack was mostly trash shows how little you have actually played the game. You've clearly just listened to million E1M1 remixes on Youtube and nothing else.

Ambient, sure. Blues? No.
Keep in mind that blues and metal share a lot, but differ in rhythm and construction. There is no blues in the classic Doom soundtrack, or anything really close to blues.
