Yesterday Doom crashed on a loading screen at "Lazarus-Labore" (Black screen) it hang up in background and could not be stopped. Steam did not helped at all and hung up to. So I hat to kill it via windows task manager.

After system restart/Steam restart I started Doom again, but my capaign slot tells me, when I want to start, that the savegame is damaged and can not be loaded
"Der Spielstand ist beschädigt und kann nicht geladen werden." (original in german)

After that, the game slot text in "choose campaign"-menu shows that information "file damaged". ("Kampagne Wählen -> Datei beschädigt" oiriginal in german).


So after 28 hours of gaming I just had that slot...
Any possibility to get it back? I'd looking forward to fix it, instead of starting again.

I had the same problem in the same level.

I did the steam games backup and restore function and now is my saved game completely gone.

Just great 21 hours of playing for nothing.

Any idea if I could recover the saved game somehow?

As I read in the forum of similar threads there were no "pre solution" for that problem.
So my next question is, are there any kinds of cheat codes available to "jump" to a specific level or do I have to play it all the way through again?
