Corrupt save files after Godmode FIX

Found this from GameplayerX (2017) and it worked for me.
You can get the corrupt file back. I do it all the time. You need to start the game, hit the ~ just before you get to the window listing the "corrupt" file. Then type "DevMode_Enable 1" and hit ~ again. BUT you need to have this in the Steam DOOM launch options box first: "+savegame_ignoreUnverified 1" but don't do the quotes. The file looks corrupted because you are not in DevMode when you restart the game again.
