Is AMD reliable?
I never had it, and some users say it is not, just fanboys?
I would do the right choice for a price between 150 to 180 euro and I can wait until half January to wait new discounts.
I was looking between GTX 970 4GB (but expensive now) GTX 1050ti 4GB and RX 470 4GB but not sure for AMD.
Oh well.
suppose to be since they stopped using ,NET, AMD has the benefit of being the original base coders of vulkan
yep the 1050 ti should cost and perform like a 960 I think, what means 50xDuke? around 8xDuke in my hours 😀
So much this. At least on the Vram part.
I strongly recommend you to wait, save your money and get yourself a 470 with 8gb. At 1080p you can't go wrong. Right now 4gb Vram is just not worth it.
Indeed. Since we are starting to have 6-8 and hbm2 and Gddr6 coming soon we will see 16-32GB card and devs won't hesitate to use as much as they can. 4GB card is just not future proof anymore. Well thats my opinion. I could be so wrong about that. 4GB could be in the minimum/recommended for a while.
Maybe it's just me thinking it will move faster than it will :D
Specially looking at how right now Dishonored is occupying 5+gb (4800-5300) on 1080p. Outrageous.
Wich makes me think that Nvidia screwed the 1060 real bad with the 6gb vram limit... what were they thinking?
I was about to get it myself, before buying my 8gb 480, but I'm not confident about the longevity of a 6gb card =/
and more vram and its for multi monitor setups
