I looked in Steam settings for beta and I saw nothing there. Where exactly is this fix?

First page account>beta partipicating. I am not sure if this is the fix, someone write somewhere the beta do have a fix for vulcan crashing in Doom.

Even you do reinstall, it will keep every change you make, like choosing Vulcan. I am not sure how to change back to OpenGL since there is no .cfg or .ini files in gamedirectory which we can edit themself. (curious why not).

there is a config.
go to C:\Users\your user\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\base

look for a file named DOOMConfig.local, open with a notepad or text editor.

see for a variable named `r_renderAPI`

set 0 for openGL, set 1 for Vulkan.

I have found by chance another solution:

"Try this:
Right Click Doom in your game list
Go to properties
Go to "set launch options"
Type +r_renderapi 0
Apply "

As you said: 0=OpenGL and 1=Vulcan
