Game fails to launch/Not Responding
Used to work perfectly before but now it's broke. I've verified game files, edited CFG to launch using Vulkan and Opengl.. Nothing works. Here's my log: https://pastebin.com/WZr7jqeS

I had the same issue but in my case the game folder's size was around 100 gb instead of 60...
So I did some digging and found a bunch of files with old dates from the previous installation in folders 'base' and 'virtualtextures'. After removing those files the game started to work fine.

Here are those files:

:awkward:

This worked for me. I found a bunch of old files that made my Doom folder 30gbs bigger, once I removed them and then verfied my doom install; my Doom started to work.

Thanks Vaile!

Backup the CFG, then delete and try launching. Usually fixes issues if something got screwed.

Yeah I did that as well.. no results.
I'll keep an eye on the Bethesda forum because some others have the same issue and no one's figured out a fix yet.

Are you using Windows 10?
This worked for me but I'm running ATI hw so it may not work for NV.

Got Vulkan to launch!
I have TWO Sapphire RX 480's 8GB in crossfire and finally got Vulcan to launch. Did the whole thing re-installing the drivers ect. Apparently the Vulcan-RT (runtime libraries) were not installed and are required. Why AMD does not install these I dont know. When you install your AMD driver, AMD created a folder in your C: called AMD... Its in here. Here was the location of mine:

C:\AMD\Radeon-Software-Crimson-ReLive-17.7.1-Win10-64Bit-July17\Packages\Apps\VulkanRT64\VulkanRT

Just install the Vulkan-RT.exe and you should be set. Good luck!
Thanks, gonna try this since it sounds promising.
try -USEALLAVAILABLECORES +com_skipIntroVideo "1" in launch options

The same for me, downloaded yesterday and can't still not play. Updated my nvidia drivers but ... nothing.

i reported this to Bethesda. Sent them all my files and they ofc asked me to try the usual troubleshooting steps. none of them worked. i stated that folks on Steam are starting to report this same Error ID. they informed me they have escalated this to a specialized team. hoping this is hotfixed soon!

Guys, I can confirm that re-downloading the game fixes this. The update totally broke the game for us. I downloaded the 60GB for 12 hours and the game runs fine now. I don't think that a simple patch could fix this.
