I know it's not the same game but it's a similar problem I noticed that when I play rainbow six siege with vulkan API everytime I start a new round my fps drop to 60-80 while I normally get stable 120 (both at a mix of medium and high settings)
The only thing fixing it is alt+tabbing out and back in at the start of every round
On top of that I didn't have the problem when vulkan API was first introduced to r6
Doom runs fine for me in vulkan tho
Playing with a gtx 1060 6gb oc (factory oc and some tweaking by myself) an i5 7600k clocked at 5ghz and 16gb of ram
That is quite interesting to hear, heh, sounds almost like what happens for a lot of people (mostly at the start of rounds) in CoD:MW'19.
I think my problems with Doom have actually been fixed by the #2 listed by me (perhaps installing a vastly new driver somehow screwed things, I dont know, although I haven't been Alt-Tabbing nearly as much as I did when the problems arose, and also haven't tried out SnapMap since then either.
I've a GTX 1070 with 8gb dedicated VRAM +8gb shared.
DDR4 16gb RAM. (2*8gb)
i7-8750H @ 2.2 GHz (12 CPU's) Though it has like some Turbo functions and whatnot, so it overclocks or something (says it is running at ca 4000MHz right now)

yeah, intel has had that feature for some time now, as long as your cooling solution is good enough it oc´s itself to a certain degree, mine for example is normally clocked at 3,8 and oc´s itself up to 4,2
It works on my 750ti through displayport, DVI and HDMI, with LG W2363D 120hz and AG251FZ 240hz, on my end. no 60hz anymore :)
With my RX 570 it doesn't work with HDMI, only DP.
I think I'll take the "AMD" out the title of that video.
well I don't really use the 750ti anymore, but yeah, I used to create 1920x1078 custom resolution with forced highest refresh rate, you mean that? Also, forcing highest refresh override from drivers with nvidia works with all directx stuff
It was only when I got the RX 570 that I realised how bad custom resolutions really were with AMD, since if you create a custom resolution in AMD settings, you get other refresh rates thrown in as well. And to top it off, there's no refresh rate override with AMD drivers either (what a joke!). So I had to set about creating a final solution to it all.
