whats that
go into mouse and ketboard settings and disable it
it is, i decided just start playing it goes to like 156fps some times
how far can i push this game with it still being playable
(some games have settings beyond what a current top line gpu can do and this game is fairly new so im sure it too would have high end settings a single 1080ti cant carry, like GTA if i max everything gets about 8fps, but if i leave some stuff alone i can get 120fps)
you said "As rawWRrr said, a 1080ti should rock this game. 150-200 fps."
rawWRrr said "A 1080ti can run Doom on max Ultra settings with Nightmare level textures in 4k without skipping a beat"
he was talking about how it ran at 4k max settings. you referenced what he said and then added 150-200 fps. so you made it sound as if 150-200 fps was to be expected at the settings he mentioned as you gave no other context about the 150-200 fps.
knock yourself out with the last word as I am sure you can come up with something that will impress your friends on the short bus.
I have a 1080Ti and a 3440x1440 ultrawide 100hz monitor. I have Doom on max settings running anywhere from 100 to 140fps on OpenGL at that resolution.
Also just make sure Vsync is definitely off in-game. Maybe also check nvidia experience to make sure that hasn't altered any settings.
If you are running EVGA Precision or MSI Afterburner check their settings to make sure a framerate target has not been set at 60. Also check the framerate cap in RTSS (Riva Tuner Statistics Server) if you have that installed and running.
A lot of unexpected behaviour and bugs can be solved by shutting these programs down, because they try and hook into the games and drivers in ways that conflict with some games.
I have windows 10 can you walk me through what to do
Pictures can help
Appreciate your input. Got the game on today's sale and the perfromance was terrible. I have 1080ti and 16 GB Ram and a PG279Q and the game wouldn't push past 60 FPS with frequent drops into 30-40s. The monitor is new, so I confirmed it was on 144hz (it wasn't, it was at 60hz), changed the drivers v-sync to Fast Sync, and changed to Vulkan setting. In game, v-sync set to adaptive keeps everthing locked to 60 fps, with very rare and minimal hiccups, and with v-sync off I get FPS in the 140-150s with more hicups than adaptive. V-sync off seems to be the worst setting so far. Am I missing anything? I'm using the GeForce experince to optimize everything else, but figured the hardware I have should tear through the game...
disable razor chroma(in keyboard and mouse settings in game)
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.... It worked like a charm! The difference is literally night and day. I would buy you a beer if you were next to me. Game dosen't really drop below 150 FPS, and it plays amazing. Thank you.
I had seen this suggestion before, but I don't have Chroma installed. Didn't realize it was an 'in Game" setting. Thanks again for replying and specifying :)
Had the same problem, the moment I turned it off I had, with Vulkan, 150-200 fps on Ultra.
