as said before, that wouldn't really work in this game.if you can just quick save right before a big fight you don't have to go back to a smaller fight where your last checkpoint was.if they did do quick saves the game would be much easier,im glad they didn't

Quicksaving and manual saving wouldn't work with this game.
Just quicksave right before a big fight so you don't need to go through the run up to it taking out some of the challenge, quicksave mid fight after you take out a particularly nasty enemy making it easier and taking out more of the challenge. Then there's also the problem of quicksaving midfight and the being killed right after causing you to be stuck in an endless death loop.

Quicksaving works well for games like Fallout, not for games like DOOM, checkpoints work well with games like DOOM and not so well with games like Fallout.

lel. There the worst thing in all of FPS games combined. Ever play COD? Thats what its like in this game, bad save places. making it to where the player can save is a good choice for your game. Doom let you do it and if this is a reboot to that game that flips off cinamatic gaming and COD and BF, then why is it using checkpoints?

Quicksaves or manual saves in Doom (or any challenging FPS) would be horrible. You could save halfway through fights and crap and it would ruin the challenge of every difficulty short of Ultra Nightmare. People do that in Skyrim all the time. Actually, Skyrim or Fallout might be more up your alley if you're the type to quicksave between skimishes or in the middle of fights.

Well in the original DOOM and DOOM 2 it was a feature.

in my experience ppl who complain about checkpoints also complain about the lack of autosave/checkpoints when there is a manual save only bcs they forget to save frequently and need to play much more again with every reload bcs they didnt save for an hour :P

Theres actually a technical reason for no manual saving due to how the idtech 6 engine handles enemy spawning which also happens to be the reason why the bodies don't stay. It's weird but sometimes code is silly.

Well this isn't the original.

Original didn't have classic levels, jump boots (or jumping for that matter), glory kills, Samuel Hayden, five different levels of possessed, Summoners, demon possession MP, Night Sentinels, praetor tokens, argent energy upgrades, gore nests, etc.

Stop thinking that somehow, some way, Doom 2016 has to have every feature of the original.
OP, play Rogue games then. Ya think?
I completed the camping on nightmare. It was hard but I did it!
