Sounds and looks more boring. There should be a "helmet hud on/off" option. It's ridiculous that there isn't.
Sadness...
I still feel the option should be available in the Gameplay menu. It's silly that it isn't. Didn't anyone ever play Metroid Prime? That was awesome.
Again, if it were an option, you wouldn't have to use it. It's called IMMERSION. Some people like that kind of thing.
there is. those are the power/shield/health/ammo indicators at the corners of the screen. if you're meaning why can't you see the inside of the actual helmet, then the answer is that the devs didn't program the game with it. a HUD is the display that the equipment provides. you're not meant to see the equipment but the HUD. in the future I would assume there is tech to allow a soldier's combat helmet to "disappear" to allow as much situational awareness as possible, thereby allowing the soldier to IMMERSE himself into the battlefield rather than be distracted/blocked by his helmet. think of the F35 helmets that allow pilots to see right through the planes as if they weren't physically there. we have that tech now, no reason not to assume it's been advanced in the future.
is there a mod? no.
-_- you people are such killjoys.
