DOOM
Doom opening screen stuck at 99%
So I downloaded doom about a week ago, and started the game.
After the main loading screen a small reticule appears in the upper right hand, which loads to 100% several times before freezing at 99%

I left it there for a full 24 hours before giving up and reinstalling the game, after which it froze again in the exact same place. Just to check, I did let it stay there for another 24 hours just to see (My computer does say that Doom is using a small amount of CPU and Memory, and it does keep playing music, so it's not frozen.)

I've looked this issue up, and some people say to go into the gamefiles and lower the resolution settings, but I cannot find anything but empty folders in the files leading to a .bin file that seems unrelated to anything.

What, exactly is the problem here, and are there any solutions?

- Verify game cache on steam.

- Delete the DOOMconfig from %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\id Software\DOOM\

- Close down every program running you don't need. Mouse software, anti-virus, backup software, audio software. Everything you don't need. Doom doesn't like some of them and will get stuck at 99% while they are running.

Please go to Steam -> Click on help up there -> System information -> Cut and paste it here.
My ID games do this on Windows 10. If I alt-ctrl-del to the desktop then tab back to the game, it resumes. A very annoying bug that happens with Doom and Wolfenstein for me.

I used task manager to close down everything I knew wasn't a windows process, and it still froze.

Because this doesn't say AMD or NVIDIA.

You could try the new drivers for the integrated intel HD 4400 - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81497/Intel-HD-Graphics-4400

But don't expect a miracle. On the Intel HD 4400 integrated graphics it works or it doesn't and if it does you will have around 15 fps.

You really need a dedicated graphics card and not integrated to play this game.

Damn

TBH, graphics cards have always been a mystery to me.

I am suing you for trademark infringement. There is only one MasterBlaster.
