DOOM
Climbing the Argent Tower or whatever to kill Olivia .... : S
I finally decided to look at a walkthrough and it looks so simple when this person did it. Many a time I have tried this. I played this game on another account last night sharing it and didn't realize I couldn't continue single player with it and so I searched on all the Steam accounts we have and found this saved game. I can see why I quit trying before. This is pretty darn frustrating. Anyone give up on the game entirely because of the jump puzzle stuff on this level?

Update: I just tried it a 3 or 4 times and gave up. : S

It’s definitely tricky, I just completed it last night for my first time.

Hitting tab to check the layout was what helped me out a lot. Especially towards the top, where you jump into the hole in the wall with the crates moving by. I only found it that way by seeing there was collectible/pickups.

I also got stuck a for longer than I should the level before, with missing where to pick up blue+yellow keycards. I think it’s old school design, and you need to be attentive to your surroundings. Hitting tab to look at the map eases the difficulties though.
I have looked at the map in 2D and 3D and that only made things more confusing. LOL!

Come on, it's not thaaat hard. You can't just leave a game because you can't go through one level with ease. Good ol' Doom was like this, were you could get stuck and wander the same hall 30 times before knowing where the ♥♥♥♥ you need to go. Also, unless the game is REALLY hard (Hexen 2 i'm looking at you) you usually don't need a walkthrough. It's enough with being observant

First of all I am a bad gamer and when I say bad I mean really bad. Also what you may think is easy may be hard for someone else as that is why there are difficulty settings and so on with different games. Don't tell others or me that we don't need walkthroughs when we do. Finally this past year I decided for myself I would have more fun with gaming and if I needed to look up help it was better than feeling like crap and totally abandoning a game forever. I have completed more games and had more fun with gaming than ever before so I think I am doing the right thing now.

In regards to putting an effort in when trying to get through a game I, on this account alone, have put in 90 hours on Limbo and over many years that I played WOW I put in loads of hours just to clear what many times was well nerfed content and I used many classes to get through stuff but many times used a pally healer which was often said to have the easiest job of healing so yeah I took the easy way at times and still had trouble but I perservered. Also in regards to commitment to finishing a game I played and cleared a game called Cold Fear which had horrible shooting controls so I think I know what dealing with various forms of what is hard is. Other games that require patience and effort that I have played and put loads of hours into ...

BIT.TRIP RUNNER
The Ball

Also Hellrider when I said I gave up you have to remember this level has been tried in the past many times before. The 3 or 4 times I tried to do it today were after playing quite a few hours of this game on another account the day before not realizing for sure I had a saved game elsewhere that was further along. I gave up after some good attempts even if this time it was just 3 or 4 attempts. Also sometimes Hellrider that is all a person has in them. Am I allowed to have 3 or 4 attempts one day taking up whatever amount of time and then try the same thing for hours on another day? Yes.

Anyway like I said earlier / hinted at earlier I wanted gaming to be fun again and in 2017 and now into 2018 I finally got to where it was again and if that means needing help from the internet at times so be it.

Thanks Mike The Warlock and SpacialKatana for trying to be helpful whereas someone else decided to take another route with all this.

What jump puzzle? I cant even remember there beeing one.. Movement is so natural and easy in this game.. If you still have problems with it, try the air control rune ? Again, I don't even know what part youre talking about, never had any problem with any kind of movement in this game

It’s early in the game, you are jumping up on different things to climb to the top of the tower. The jumping controls great, but it was hard to figure out where to jump to. Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t think it was absurdly hard, but I can see how somebody could struggle

A heads up, maybe you did not notice, but throughout the game the parts you can (and need to) reach via jumping are nearly always marked with a green light.

Thanks for trying to be of help. As for noticing that the parts you need to reach via jumping are green lit I didn't notice or just don't remember.

I used to die there a lot as well, only 'cos of trying to jump at all places too find hidden stuff.
don't give up there is always a way, I find it a shame not to complete this master piece ( and after this you can do the speed runs and one live things)

Funny thing is when I have looked up parts of this game where people have gotten stuck this is it. There are numerous comments about it under videos on YouTube. It seems to be a hard part for people playing this game and if you don't get it oh well.
