Regardless of its inspiration, it can be a fun(/infuriating) challenge for experienced players.
Do you possibly know why this occurs, and if so is there a way to fix it? I'd love to try out this mod.
This is the folder that you should extract DOOMModLoader into, and where you should create a "Mods" folder to place "Black Doom 2016.zip" inside of.
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/DOOMModLoader.exe
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/DOOMx64.exe
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/Mods/Black Doom 2016.zip
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/Mods/decls/renderprogs/includes/virtualtexture.inc;renderProg
After that, delete the "Black Doom 2016.zip" file, and run DOOMModLoader again.
Make sure that you run the DOOMModLoader that you extracted into...
-/steamapps/common/DOOM/
...where you should also see a file called "DOOMx64" or "DOOMx64.exe".
It doesn't work if you run DOOMModLoader directly from DOOMModLoader's zip; it only works if you extract it into Doom 2016's installation and run it there.
I just wanna mention I really appreciate you taking the time to help me btw.
If you still have a copy of "virtualtexture.inc;renderProg" directly in the "Mods" folder, delete it. If you also have "DOOMModLoader.exe" and "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" in the "Mods" folder, delete them too.
After that, go into -/steamapps/common/DOOM/base/ (the "base" folder in your Doom 2016 installation). In there, look for any files starting with "gameresources_002" or some other numbers. Delete all "gameresources_###" files that have numbers (but don't delete any "gameresources" files that don't have numbers).
After that, run DOOMModLoader (in your Doom 2016 installation).
Edit: If this doesn't fix it for someone, double-check that you're using the OpenGL graphics API in Doom 2016, not Vulkan. This mod only works with OpenGL.
