Controller Issue
Really excited to give this game a go, but I'm having odd issues with my controller(s). When I first started playing, everything worked fine for 30 minutes or so until i started changing settings and such.

My right analog stick is now being treated as a mouse cursor. I know this for several reasons:

-When I move my mouse and hold the right analog stick, they both interfere with the cursor on screen
-when i first started playing, if i wanted to change the sensitivity of my joystick I'd change the vertical/horizontal sensitivity in controller options, but now it is only affected when i change mouse sensitivity.
-aim assist does not work anymore

I've tried my xbox one controller with its microsoft adapter, and my xbox 360 controller with a different adapter and the issue persists. I've resotred all the default settings, checked drivers, restarted my computer several times and the problem is still there. This isn't affecting any of my other games either.

Please help I really don't want to play this game on kb&m, it's pretty unplayable because of this problem. Thanks!

Get rid of canned gamepad mapping and assign your own.
Steam now allows you to map your controller. You can enter it in Steam.
Select the config "Disabled" and assign it your game. This will clear the mapping your game assigns. Then use one of the several other mapping programs (like Xpadder) to remap the controller to whatever you like.

Plug in your Xbox 360/One controller.
Right click on Doom in Library view.
Select Edit Steam Controller Configuration.
Select Browse Configs.
Look around for Steam Controller Configs - Desktop Disabled. Select it.
Backout. This will clear the gamepad settings in Doom. Now use Xpadder or semilar to remap your controller.

This works for any game.
