I repeat, get a clue.
ASIO is no longer supported in hardware under consumer sound cards. The drivers emulate in software.
The last consumer cards to support hardware ASIO were the Audigy 2s.
ASIO also has nothing to do with MIDI aside from both being used to make sound.
Complete gibberish from you, as usual.
No, ASIO4All won't do anything in Doom.
Did you follow my initial tips?
your soundblaster might not support ASIO, they are not the only sound cards, soundcard go up and over £3000
midi controllers have USB DAC if they are good enough, the midi go into computer through USB, which controls you DJ program like traktor/serato, then the ASIO audio goes back up the USB cable in to the controllers mixer, and out its onboard soundcard
Then that isn't a MIDI controller.
It's an audio interface.
And "good enough" doesn't enter into it. It is always better to have discrete components over all in one solutions.
And yes, I said that pro audio solutions will support hardware ASIO. Consumer grade solutions do not. ASIO in games would be meaningless to virtually everyone, except to add yet another abstraction layer to cause possible issues.
Let me repeat - the last widespread consumer grade sound card to support hardware ASIO was the Audigy 2.
would if id added a ASIO cvar, and mapped the channels on the next update
I forgot, you are a genius visionary coder.
Please do, and share it with the world.
/sarcasm
I use it myself with good old winamp but it's more placebo than anything else lol
share what, im a genius in general, my greatest gift to rejects of mankind is a perpetually powered next gen space shuttle that can do 256 million MPH, which could be built in 10 years
no, it plays audio directly onto the soundcard bypassing all windows runtime, good soundcard, even soundblasters before they died and creative brought EMU Studio hardware and fixed all the problems and gave the world the soundblaster Z, they had a ASIO processor on
are footsteps that quiet when its heavy metal armor?
yeah but I just have realtek soundchip so.. it still sounds better than without but not sure how much of that is real or just placebo, is like when you hear Flac vs. mp3.. without the right hardware it really doesn't make a real difference.
it makes all the difference, mp3's only sound good on a portable system, and pure noise on a seperates hifi or a PA system, the compression misses out 40% of the low and high frequencies which makes compression possible

this is what you get with ASIO and flac, + youtube rubbish AAC
