I play the single player offline just fine. Did they change that in the last update?
Heck, I was even ofline when making and playing downloaded SnapMaps.

II just launched and played Doom in SnapMap without online.

That's what I thought. You only need to be online for the MP part, and if you want to play online with your buddies on Snapmap that is.

I haven't tried it myself, but I believe they removed the DRM after the game was cracked.

can you stop all the updates. it takes hours on the updates and i cant play the game

(In Steam Library) Right-click -> Properties -> Updates -> Untick automatic updates
EDIT: Turns out that might not actually be an option anymore

I think there is a difference between Steam offline and the game actually offline. I think the game must connected to their servers to play. Try disconnecting your internet cable and see if you really can play offline.
