So you can't play bots only?

There is an option for minimum clients = 1. Why is it not letting me start a game and keeps saying it needs minimum 2 clients? Bethsoft? Anyone?

try a private match ... there is a bot setting and how many you want then start the game

In private match they dont work with just yourself, it seems they still need another person which is annoying.

You need to set the "minimum players" option to 2 or more. The higher the number, the more bots that will be added. Then you'll be able to play against bots by yourself.

Though, you will not get any xp or other progression when doing so...

Wrong.

You need to set minimum client to 2 in order to spawn 1 bot (you being client 1).

go in to private match then(match settings)
map = chasm (some maps wont let you add bots by self)
game mode = team deathmatch
minimum clients change to 12
bot skill = normal
hit ESCAPE and start game
IF you do the above it will start you in a game with just you and bots
note - this is just a starting point you can tinker with the setting to see what they do .

I was able to set up a private match with just me vs bots as well.

Clients = player + bots. Set it to 3 or so. If you set it to 1, that's you and no bots. It won't launch.

^No 2 is enough if you want to duel a bot, also note that the second bot will always be on the opposite team. That's what I noticed at least. So it's pretty much gonna be 1vs2, 2vs3, 3vs4 etc until you add another bot or invite a friend.

Another note: Don't bother using hack modules unless YDGAF. They're only earned agains't players and are better off being used agains't them, no point wasting them on bots. ;)

Right on. "Clients" sounded like real people to me, so I thought that was reserving spots for actual players, not bots. Cool. Glad I was informed here.
