Startup Blue Screen Fatal Error [Please Help]

Doom -> properties -> local file tab -> verify cache.
Did you check the game minimum requirements? Your CPU is way to slow. Thanks for wasting our time.

yes i know that but so many friends of mine with same cpu played that game...thats why i bought the game....sorry if i wasted your time sir...

Np. This should fix the problem. I hope ;) It doesnt fix it in all the cases but most.

update your gfx card drivers so you have openGL 4.5 and it should work

Honestly, I don't think the problem is in the CPU. I know the GTX 960, however, to cause a lot of problems. If verifying game cache doesn't work, I'd bet it'd be that. Update the drivers, and tell me what happens. Thanks.

You could try this

1) verify cache first
2) delete the game save folders located in C:\Users\<user>\Saved Games\id Software (Win10)
3) restart pc

do all the steps as one fix and after launch the game

Why do you think games have minimum requirements? If anyone wants to waste your time helping someone with a CPU that is GREATLY below the minimum requirements, go ahead and offer those generic solutions that will not help.

You can still play this game just fine with an old CPU. Did you know that the OP problem was his game not being downloaded completly ? He had 35GB on 70GB downloaded and thats why his game was giving him a BSOD. Not because of his under the minimum requirement CPU.

You don't suggest solutions to problems you know your solutions won't fix anything. That's the difference between someone who knows and just don't know what hes doing.

And i was right in this case. The error he got was because of missing files. Verifying the cache showed that to him and he was able to download the rest.

"Generic solutions". More like "Exactly what he needed".
Anyone who plays Steam games should know about verifing your game files. All games offer this. It is the first thing you do when you have a problem.

yes everybody knows that...but i have just downloaded that game last night i had this issue...so i wasnt sure that i needed to verify it right after the download....
