5FPS - LENOVO THINKPAD x230 EGPU (gtx 650)

I'm getting maximum 5 FPS on lenovo thinkpad laptop x230 i7-3520m, 16GB ram, gtx 650, SSD 256 EVO, ext monitor. I use EGPU ofc. I know it's a shi tty graphics card, but even on LOW with everything OFF i think i should be getting better than this. What do you think??? GPU shows 100% usage almost all time. CPU stays at around 40-60%. Game stucks at loading missions at exactly 75% and then i must CTRL + ALT+ DELETE to go back to game again, but I'm getting this 5 FPS max mode and weird CPU GPU parameters showing, 200, 300 + avs min and etc... all in RED. I'am able to get even 60 FPS only by standing close to a wall or in a corner or by looking down. All time 5, 6 FPS. And I do experiencing these LOW DOOM file priority issues all time, even after switching to normal or high it comes back again. I've changed drivers, I've installed win10 once again, no changes. You can get at around 30FPS on this silly graphic card - YT. League of Legends - 130 FPS, GTA 5 - 30FPS. What do You think??? I don't wanna to sell this laptop i really love it. I was thinking of buying much better and more expensive graphics card but now I got stuck. Maybe this EXC GDC adaptor makes problems, just have no idea bro what to do next, been googling many days already. What do You think about this CPU. I know an old architecture. ANY HELP???

it isnt worth a thought to buy a laptop for gaming, doesnt matter what laptop it is

So what? him was saying not exsist "laming laptop", they exsist, and even the "less powerful one" are good enought to run gta5 at +60 fps in full hd, i talk about gaming laptop for 700/900 euros, cip one with "mobile" cpu and gpu.

ye and its a waste of money bcs u can get better hardware for the same...

Try a new GPU, chances are that will get you better FPS.

You can get lenovo thinkpad T430 laptop for +- 300$ at least in my country with Core i7-3632QM and u can run DOOM on ULTRA specs np with proper graphics card.

depends on the graphics board (if u wanna use a egpu again)
the NVIDIA NVS 5400M is the same chip as a gt630m (not a gtx!!!)
but the cpu is a quad core hyperthreading which is enough for doom

if it isnt about the money why u just dont buy a gaming pc (or a realy expensive laptop if its a need) and use ur beloved laptop for the other things? i mean u didnt have to trow it away only because u cant play the newest games

There's no such thing as a "gaming laptop". Get a PC or console.

It's not about the money, I got the money, I just love this laptop.

If that's so, then go and buy a GTX 1050 Ti low profile and report back.

You could also go for a 1060 or 1070 mini, but I'm assuming your laptop has a limited resolution so they'd be a bit of a waste.

To all the TOXIC clowns :O) ..... Message for you from Poland and polish guy, business laptop's LOVER. I've got over 130FPS now in DOOM :O), not sure in which setting, because I've just bought GPU and checked it out only for 2 minutes, but I will let you know later. Zotac GTX 970 rullezzz.

Ultra, everything ON + all the effects, highest available settings, so far tried 1920x1080. I love this old, 10 years old machine, portable business laptop, that u called junk :O). Never liked stationary PC's, bulky, full of dirt or any other gaming "boxes" - no offence.

Yuup Salaman, I was also almost sure about it, that's why I was pushing this project forward all time. This laptop is a damn MONSTA now, I'm serious. 2 sec boot time man. It's an unicorn, I'm fully aware of it now, 95% of them are all i5's, i got i7 with full specs "combat" equipment.
