the NVIDIA NVS 5400M is the same chip as a gt630m (not a gtx!!!)
but the cpu is a quad core hyperthreading which is enough for doom
if it isnt about the money why u just dont buy a gaming pc (or a realy expensive laptop if its a need) and use ur beloved laptop for the other things? i mean u didnt have to trow it away only because u cant play the newest games
If that's so, then go and buy a GTX 1050 Ti low profile and report back.
You could also go for a 1060 or 1070 mini, but I'm assuming your laptop has a limited resolution so they'd be a bit of a waste.
