5FPS - LENOVO THINKPAD x230 EGPU (gtx 650)

I'm getting maximum 5 FPS on lenovo thinkpad laptop x230 i7-3520m, 16GB ram, gtx 650, SSD 256 EVO, ext monitor. I use EGPU ofc. I know it's a shi tty graphics card, but even on LOW with everything OFF i think i should be getting better than this. What do you think??? GPU shows 100% usage almost all time. CPU stays at around 40-60%. Game stucks at loading missions at exactly 75% and then i must CTRL + ALT+ DELETE to go back to game again, but I'm getting this 5 FPS max mode and weird CPU GPU parameters showing, 200, 300 + avs min and etc... all in RED. I'am able to get even 60 FPS only by standing close to a wall or in a corner or by looking down. All time 5, 6 FPS. And I do experiencing these LOW DOOM file priority issues all time, even after switching to normal or high it comes back again. I've changed drivers, I've installed win10 once again, no changes. You can get at around 30FPS on this silly graphic card - YT. League of Legends - 130 FPS, GTA 5 - 30FPS. What do You think??? I don't wanna to sell this laptop i really love it. I was thinking of buying much better and more expensive graphics card but now I got stuck. Maybe this EXC GDC adaptor makes problems, just have no idea bro what to do next, been googling many days already. What do You think about this CPU. I know an old architecture. ANY HELP???

so what about CPU, u've already said it's not a bottleneck or was that a mistake?

no if its on ~50% it cant be the bottleneck ^^
the ec standards use a 2.5 Gb/s transfer rate which is compareable with pcie 1.0
its the half of usb3.0
if u really wanna buy a new graphic card better buy a new laptop with a mini pcie slot too because u will need it or the new card doesnt change anything...
also i recommend u to use a external monitor instead of the laptop display because it will cost u round about 20% fps

u will not get happy with this system and modern games

he is right! u have to wake up. to write on a fridge "gaming fridge" doesnt make it possible to play with... its the same with laptops. the desktop versions of the hardware parts will allways be more powerfull as the mobile parts...

i dont know whats the bottleneck on ur rig because of lag of informations ^^ but if u say the cpu is on ~50% it isnt the bottleneck. if the gpu is on 100% its fully occupied but that can also be because of a low bandwidth... to find out what exactly is the bottleneck on ur rig needs a series of tests with some appropriate tools (like clocktest etc)

a modern graphics card usualy is pcie 3.0 (like the gtx970) and use a much higher bandwidth (pcie 3.0 has a transfare rate of 8Gb/s; pcie 2.0 = 5Gb/s)

so i think it doesnt change anything with doom on ur rig to find the bottleneck or buy a new card.
u will not be lucky, even if a new graphics card change the bottleneck to ur cpu

I can get 30FPS sometimes, but it flacuates 2-30, it depends on area i'm looking at that moment, I've did everything one more time and it's a bit better but AVG for CPU and GPU are 60. Game jumps, stops and freezes while walking, I don't think it's the GPU memory, only 1GB which is not recommended, but it all comes down to some kind of CPU and GPU response time i guess, so maybe this expresscard connection is really a bottleneck, or CPU cannot handle multitasking, 100% of GPU means good I think, 40% CPU usage a bit strange (60-70% cpu temp)

You can get lenovo thinkpad T430 laptop for +- 300$ at least in my country with Core i7-3632QM and u can run DOOM on ULTRA specs np with proper graphics card.
