sure laptops have their place and also make sense in some cases but gaming isnt one of that
Right now, the Xbox One X is as powerful as a PC that costs twice as much.
You always pay a premium for a device that fits your preferences.
I didn't notice the EGPU part - my brain skipped reading because it makes no sense to put that GPU as an EGPU. Why would you spend $50-200 on an EGPU enclosure for a GPU that is worth roughly $60? Hell, that thing is slower than current gen Intel integrated graphics in some benchmarks.
And regardless, the full desktop GTX 650 is STILL less powerful - literally in some benchmarks less than half the speed - than the GTX 460 I already mentioned, which again, I have tested, and barely results in playable frame rates in Doom.
You aren't likely to run it on that GPU.
CPU is at 43% usage on average, at least that\s what is showed in task manager, GPU is 100% all time. GTX 650 is a crap i know, so what do u think????
but next year it will be just a mid range system with its 6 tflops...
oh sure i know but that doesnt change anything for u :P
ur laptop cant handle doom even with ur egpu...
As for gaming laptops - wait for AMD's "Raven Ridge", apparently will combine Zen with Vega on a single "APU" chip with consumption and thermals to fit portables.
im sry to say that but its the truth
minimum requirements for doom is a quad core cpu and usualy the minimum requirements try to hit the 30fps
it causes a lot of performance issues on some rigs especially on such exotic rigs like urs
