A good rule of thumb is if it's a triple A game, And through steam then it's pretty damn close to being a redflag 100% of the time.

Heck I don't think I've ever gotten a virus via steam.

me neither

It's very unlikely malware.

The risk of obtaining a virus through Steam is extremely small. It's what we would refer to as a trusted source. Not to say it couldn't ever happen but it would be very well publicized if it did. If Doom had been infected by a virus of some kind through Steam, you wouldn't have to ask here in the discussions. News of it would be plastered everywhere.

Vulkan RT stands for vulkan runtime, it normally comes down with nvidia or ati driver updates.

Nothing to worry about.

Get better antivirus. Anything that's picking up vulkan runtime libraries as a virus is garbage tier.

From my experience the only antivirus software you need, since Windows7, is MS Security Essentials(for 7), or Windows Defender(8/10).
All the other fancy stuff is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, more a malware itself than protection.

Agree 100% with this. Besides that, Windows Defender consumes VERY low resources and, as it's highly integrated to the OS, it doesn't mess with low/mid level OS processes (i.e. installing drivers or Windows Updates).

And no bs-ads, which want to sell you the 'even safer' version every time you boot your system.

Bullguard. Is this a Serious Sam plug-in? ;) Just kiddin'.
You should get rid of it. Just run Windows Defender. It is very sufficient and won't bother you.
