Low FPS when it worked fine yesterday?!?!?!
Okay, this is driving me crazy. For some reason I am only getting 15FPS even though literally yesterday I was at 60 on all ultra settings. Now the menu has 15FPS on average and it stays like that when I play the game. I have tried lowering the graphics and my specs are more than good enough to run this game, as made obvious by it running fine yesterday. I have an i7, 16GB of RAM, a GTX 1060, it should work. The only thing I can think of is that I installed the new NVIDIA driver. But I have reinstalled with a clean instalation and it still hates me. So please please help.

Since you reinstalled the same latest drivers and it still doesnt work. Install the drivers you had before and see if it fix the problem. There might be a problem with the new drivers.

Or you could use DDU to clean all traces of old files and reinstall the latest drivers just to see if it works. If it doesnt install an older version.

Jesus Christ Nvidia's drivers are dodgy ATM. Yes, use DDU and rollback. I'd suggest the driver Windows Update suggests. I've been having issues outside of gaming with the latest driver. Rolling back fixed that.

So how exactly do I go about rolling back because the last driver was deleted from my computer because of the clean install

You just reinstall an older drivers from the website. Going into the older drivers section of the drivers download section.

Okay, well.... I rolled back my drivers to the previous version, restarted my computer, launched doom, and I still only get a max of 20FPS. I really have no idea what else to do. Also the workaround of opening the steam overlay, doing ALT+TAB, then reopening the game does not work for me. Please Help!!!!!!
I have the same problem of Doom being locked at 20fps no matter what settings you choose

I have I7 6700hq and GTX 1060 with 16 gigs, I tried all the solutions suggested but nothing worked.

Turn Virtual texturing page size down to low, see if this changes anything
Guys, i also have this problem(15FPS but it was 605 days ago) and still don't know what to do, because my FPS doesn't changening (maybe just +-5) if i switch between Ultra and Low grapisch, and i tried it (i beleave) all of the Advanced changes.Ohh and my weird issues with Shift+Tab fixed, the Steam site just covered the screen and i couldn't turned it off.
