1920x1080 is a 16:9 resolution.

I'm not sure what you are asking for.

You will also get black bars then. Besides, DOOM supports 16:10.

There is no such thing as 1080p 16:10. 1080p is literally 1920x1080, which is literally a 16:9 resolution.

If you want the closest 16:10 resolution to 1080p, Doom supports those just fine. If you don't see it in the settings menu, post a screenshot and maybe we can help.

I think its on max (1680x1050) 16:10 and i like it that way because switching to 16:9 for the sake of having 1920x1080 looks a bit vertical compared to 19:10 :/ so there isnt higher resolution than that? So i actually cant play 16:10 in full hd?

The resolution you're looking for is 1920x1200

No, you literally cannot play in technical FHD 1080p in 16:10, as it is inherently 16:9.

As someone said, 1920x1200 is what you are looking for - closest 16:10 to 1080p without going lower.

actually, the only way would be to set up a custom resolution within the video driver (if the monitor supports it) with proper scaling and then it will downsample (if your monitor plays along) but you would end up with black bars if you don´t want to stretch the image.
but seeing the kind of question you are asking I would say forget everything I wrote and
just play on 1680x1050 lol

here a few guides to achieve what I was saying btw.

just for the sake of it, not really worth it just for 1080p on a 1050 16:10 monitor though but doable, when I still had a 16.10 monitor I was able to play some older games at 2880 x 1620 on a 1680x1050 native TFT, that was worth it.

You can get 1080p on a 16:9 monitor, maybe get one of those? Amazon might have some deals now actually if anyone is looking to upgrade to 1080p.
wakeme Jul 12, 2017 @ 1:22pm
1680 / 1050 =to 1.6 =to 16 / 10

1600 / 900 =to 1.7777777 =to 16 / 9

1920 / 1080 =to 1.7777777 =to 16 / 9 full HD

1920 / 1200 =to 1.6 =to 16 / 10 full HD

1280 / 720 =to 1.777777 =to 16 / 9

if a monitor is max'd at 1680 x 1050 or max's at 1600 x 900
then No , it can't run at full HD .

if DOOM settings don't show 1920 x 1200 then that resolution is NOT available .
you could try and Sneak 1920 x 1200 into a .ini setup or .cfg file .
i have done things like that before . I have NOT tried to do that with DOOM .
No guarrente DOOM will accept that ,...and your Monitor MUST be capable
of 1920 x 1200 ( 16:10 not popular anymore )

130 FOV might distort the aspect ratio , then 1920 x 1200 or 1680 x 1050
might make it look more aspect correct , as you said .
i use default FOV .

Even if your monitor supports 1920 x 1200 , and
Even if your video card detects and supports 1920 x 1200 ,
it is still possible that any particular program doesn't support 1920 x 1200 .

i have no idea if DOOM supports 1920 x 1200 .
however , if you have seen 1680 x 1050 in the DOOM in-game settings ,
then i will guess that DOOM can run at 1920 x 1200 , as long as your
video card has previouslly detected that resolution in your monitor .

other peoples comments are 101 % correct .
"there is No such thing as 1920 x 1080" at 16:10 because
1920 / 1080 is equal to 16:9
only
1920 / 1200 is equal to 16:10 ( basic math )

You want 16:10 resolution? Go buy 16:10 monitor..

/solved
Unicarn Jul 13, 2017 @ 1:20am
What's your monitor's resolution? It has to be 1920x1200 or higher for a 1080p 16:10 resolution.

the custom resolution you want to add is 1728x1080
