Getting stuck on small ledges?
I've noticed something quite strange in this game. My character keeps getting stuck on very small ledges and steps. I have to end up jumping over a six-inch high step when I should be able to walk over a surface. It's not just DOOM where this issue occurs, I've also noticed it quite prominently in Borderlands 2.

Anybody got any ideas? It's really starting to bug me.

any screen shots of this?

might just be borders that prevent you from just walking over them.

I get this sometimes on MP. A good example is near the doorway, on Helix near the megahealth keg. It's like running in to an invisible wall.

Exactly, it's very much like an invisible wall. I may have figured out what the issue is (In Borderlands 2 at least). At the Crimson Raiders HQ, there's a small ledge in front that I can't step over. I'm running the game at about 200 FPS. When I limit the FPS to 72, it works just fine.

The issue is sort of hard to reproduce in DOOM, but I'll see if I can play it for a while and grab a screenshot if I run into this.

Here's a couple images of a trouble spot I just found. This is the door near the end of Foundry. The little ledge on the floor is quite small, but I've found that it can be a little picky on whether it lets me through without a problem or stops me in my tracks.
I've seen other players get stuck on Helix.

It's just bad level design or parhaps with the game engine itself? It's usually near a doorway of some kind. A little jump over solves the problem.

You're right though, it behaves like an invisible little step or small ledge on the floor.

It seem to be most common when you have a really high frame rate. In Vulcan my rig hammers the 200 fps cap and I get a lot of those little sticking on tiny elevation changes, BUT... when I lock the frame rate to 144 (the max my monitor runs) it stops happening.
