Graphics glitches with Vulkan
I'm experiencing rare graphics glitches with Vulkan, as shown in the following screenshots:

The glitches are very rare and don't ruin the overall gameplay experience, though whenever these happen the framerate drops dramatically and ruin the battles.

I'm running a 1920x1079 custom resolution, because otherwise DOOM wouldn't run at 144 Hz, so I had to make a custom resolution in NVIDIA Control Panel supporting 144 Hz only.

Running a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, FX-4300, 16 GB of RAM, High overall details, Ultra textures and 8x TSSAA. I'm using Windows 10 x64.

Don't use Vulkan with Nvidia GPU, you get very negligible performance increase with it. Vulkan really shines with AMD cards because it's their technology that got approved by Khronos and hence is more optimized.

I had a terrible experience with AMD so I won't buy their GPUs again (probably).

Though, I get worse performance with OpenGL 4.5 here. I get 50-70 fps with OpenGL 4.5 with some drops, while around 120 fps with Vulkan, very stable, so I don't see that "negligible performance increase", honestly.

Just when the graphics glitches occur, the framerate drops.

Do you have the latest version of drivers and Vulkan installed?

I currently have 382.05 drivers and Vulkan API 1.0.42.

Have you played with dropping any settings to see if it continues? Like turning textures from Ultra to Very High?

I get exactly the same on my 1060 6GB (driver 382.33) when using Vulkan.
Doesn't occur when using gl.

I think I have detail set to High (vsync, depth of field & motion blur all disabled), though at 120+fps, I could probably afford to crank it up to Ultra.

In my case performance benefit of Vulkan is small (~10fps); perhaps 'cos I'm not cpu bottlenecked.

No, because I want it on Ultra. I'll try tonight.
Well it has been said 100 times, use driver cleaner (DDU) and reinstall the video driver.

Since any other game works perfectly fine (look how many games I have in my library), I won't install any third party application that will erase my GPU drivers and reinstall them, I also don't want to do it because I have to play another game with a friend once I get home.
Doing what I suggest is good for all your games.

Eh, my games work perfectly fine, including GTA V on Ultra settings.

I've experienced this exact same issue on three different computers with three different Nvidia graphics cards. They are as follows:

i7-980X OC'd @4.0 GHz
GTX 770
12 GB DDR3 @1333 MHz
Some ancient OEM motherboard

MSI GS63VR Laptop
i7-6700HQ
GTX 1060
16 GB DDR4 @2400 MHz

Ryzen 5 1600X OC'd @4.0 GHz
GTX 1070
16 GB DDR4 @2400 MHz
Asus Prime B350 Plus motherboard

I've also got a video of it, in which I removed all my overclocks and stuff as well. Recorded with phone so capturing software didn't interfere with the artifacting at all:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0l0L-yTZ3g

Anyway, the issues look identical on each of my computers in Vulkan, and the only fix I found was to go back to driver version 378.92. I've tried reinstalling the latest versions with DDU, and no matter what the artifacts in Vulkan appear on any driver version 38X.XX.

The last version that Vulkan works in is 378.92 in my experience across all three of my computers.

Are they frequent? They're very rare here, I encountered them in just 2 levels and for very short time.

The artifacts seem to appear whenever a Hell Razer spawns. Their laser beam always causes the flashes.

Also, shoot your shotgun into the air. You might notice the glowing pellets getting stuck in the air for a moment.

I'll check that, I'm also in my first playthrough ever.
