Playing with Dualshock 4
I'm trying to play with a dualshock 4, but the game seems to think that it's also a mouse, because when I physically move or rotate the controller in my hands, it makes me look around in the game, exactly like what moving a mouse would do. Everything else works, but it's hard to aim when the slightest movement of your hands changes the sightline. How do I shut this mouse feature off so I can just use the controller the way it was meant to be used?

Dualshock controllers are not plug and play like Xbox controllers.

You need to map the dualshock4 with DS4Windows before it works properly with your games . Simply plugging it in will lead to your controller not operating properly.

Ds4windows isn't really necessary anymore. I think you can configure the controller using steam just like a steam controller. Not sure if it requires big picture (I think it does currently though)

After reading your post again it sounds to me like the controller is configured for gyro aiming (a pretty standard afair for a steam controller likely not so great in your case) you could try opening the steam overlay and if the big picture overlay comes up you should be able to configure the controller to your liking. Including removing gryo aim

Ahhh I see. I haven't tried in awhile. Guess there's been updates since . But what you say makes more sense. Op should check into that.
