I would first go for the general solution for Doom issues -
Use DDU to do a driver wipe, and re install the latest drivers.
Sounds like a hardware issue.
Does GPUZ show everything correctly?
2 months old PC with a 2GB Vram card ? :(
I don't know who sold you the PC or where you bought it but it sounds like you have a GPU problem. Might be 1GB on it not working properly.
I am having a hard time believing the fact that you just bought this PC. They are not new component. Might be new for you but in fact they are years old.
I don't know why you are saying this is the only game where you have problems. Doom doesnt make you lose 1GB of Vram on your card. If you have 1GB of VRAM on DOOM you have 1GB Vram on your other games.
What is your PC specs exactly ?
My current specs:
i5-7600k (Overclocked to 4.2ghz)
MSI Z270 Tomahawk
Crucial Ballistix 16GB DDR4 2666Mhz
MSI R9 380 Armor 2X 2GB (there wasn't 1gb NEVER)
Windows 10 Home 64bit
WD Blue SSD 250GB + 1TB Barracuda HDD
No thermal problem whatsoever.
You said 1GB may be not working, if you read what i wrote it's working in every freaking game i ever tried, every game reads 2GB as it should only DOOM has some weird problem which I'm trying to resolve.
Samael i hate you already for the way you writing to me :/ 1ST thing: I build my own pc, 2nd i already said that i DID NOT buy all things new some of it like the GPU i recycled from an old one. I looking forward to upgrade as soon as possible (RX 580 probably).

As I said, check in GPUZ and Afterburner to see exactly what is happening behind the scenes.
I have a strong feeling that there is a hardware issue with your GPU, and I think that is where you should be focusing your troubleshooting.
Does Doom read it as 2gb in the performance metrics, or just toss the error when trying to change settings?
I updated my driver from 17.4.2 to 17.4.3 (today released) and for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason it now reads 1828MB DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE, it should read 2048MB not just random numbers. I honestly think it was because of restart i had to make when installing new drivers not because of driver itself, i'll try tomorow launch after a pc was ON for some time, i bet it will again read only 1GB. :/
Im happy updating your drivers fixed the problems. Even if you hate me.
Sounds like the VRM on your GPU is dying.
I think other games would get affected as well, but as i said freaking million times in this post all other games run as they should.
