Advanced Research Complex: not getting 2/2 rune trials?

On my first okaythrough of the ARC, I missed the second rune trial. When I went though the level a second time to complete the challenge, I got to the rune trial, did it, and got kicked out back to the mission select. The problem is that now, I can't get the mission select screen to acknowledge that I did the "interact with two rune trials" challenege, even though when I redo the stage again the map screen says I've completed the challenge. Is that going to screw me out of the "Complete All Challenges" cheeve?

when you start your game scroll down past continue, where you see rune select (something like that) then scroll thru that list to find the rune you missed, there you can complete it. but even if you decide not to try the challange you just exit the rune and it still counts as done. Also it is a kind'a bug as once you finish the level it shows as complete. to get the achievement it has to be done in a "single play-thru"

Ugh, that really sucks. I've done every single challenge so far, now I get to do them again!

No i think you can still get it, if 1/ you did not kill the spider yet. 2/ you can go back to any level and complete/find challenges n secrets and it will count as a single play-thru. However I may be wrong, but I'm to that point myself. 12-13 maps complete and having to restart the last map as the 2 barons did not fall together, leaving that 1 challenage incomplete. that put me on the wrong side of the day, so i'm off to play something else, but I'll finish up to-nite, let you know from there. BTW i'm not sure if all 12 rune trials must also be complete, as i have only 7 done.

I did re-run through the whole level to the end, and while it says in the stage I've complete the "Interact with two runes" challenge, it's still only showing as "1/2 runes" on the mission sellect screen.

The challenge wasn't to complete the trials (which I did), it was to interact with both runes.

I have the same problem, I'll remember to post here if I ever find a solution :|
I don't even know in which order I did the runes D:
But it was definitely in 2 different runs and now I can't really "interact" with the stones anymore :|

Yes, that is correct. you understand "interact" is just that, you can exit the challange and move on.

I don't understand "can't" ? you can replay any rune stone during your play-thru. In fact try this start a new game, but this time when you interact with a rune, don't accept, just exit the challange and continue thru the map. Then at any time during the play-thru you can enter the rune trial list and play out the challange, it will count towards your game, and mark the rune as complete.

I've put alot of time into Doom, tring this and doing that and so on. So long as the spider is not dead, it's still a single play-thru. See where it goes from here, I'll be back bout a hour.

Not once you complete it. The rune is then crumbled for later play-throughs so you can't interact with it.

ok i see your not playing now, start Doom, goto your save slot but don't hit continue, scroll down to "rune trial select" hit enter and there you will see a list of all rune's that you have played when you started this round. there are 12 total, select any one of those you have not done and complete it now. then tell me if it counted towards your map. I'm sorry but you didn't understand the problem. Go to your save slot, select mission select and hover over Advanced Research Complex, a map with 2 rune trials.
The second mission is "Interact with 2 rune trial stones" or something similar to that. We didn't get this mission marked as done, despite finding both rune trial stones and playing the trials. In fact, I have _all_ runes upgraded (so I own all of them of course), but I didn't get the mission to interact with both rune trial stones in advanced research complex. But there's an achievement for finishing all missions in the game, so that's our problem, we think we can't get that achievement now.

Indeed, and I did understand all you were saying, your issue with that map and those runes, I to suffered that same problem some time back, I was addressing how I dealt with it then. As of my last reply I have since completed all chalanges n secrets for all 13 maps, and yes I did get the achievement. Is this not the answer you seek? GLHF

I have this same issue. I've completed all the Rune Trials and upgraded them all as well. I've gone through the level several times trying to get the achievement to "take" but it doesn't work. My Steam profile even shows the "IDDQD: Upgrade All Runes" achievement, but not the "The Circle Is Complete: Earn All Runes" achievement.

Got to thinking about this issue, what might be causing it and Bethesda's lack of interest in fixing it... There have been developers that disabled critical components of the game if you pirated it. Would they have the same philosophy about games purchased with Steam Codes from discount sites rather than from Bethesda or Steam? If so, why would the codes even work if that were an issue? Just curious because I bought Doom when a game seller site had a sale on Steam codes for it.

That would be very evil and if they were so against codes being used, they just wouldn't generate any instead of sabotaging them, if it's even possible.
Anyway, I bought the game directly from the steam store and I also have a problem with the runes, like stated above.

Same here, I missed the second rune trial the first time I played that Level, then replayed it and got the rune but I got kicked out of the level, then I see 1/2 in mission select, but when I play that mission again I see the challenge competed (2/2)
