I'm having a bug that makes my inventory not open (in fact, any key that opens any type of inventory stops working)

When I bought this game I was having a bug that every time I was collecting herbs my inventory, my map or any action related to that wouldn't open, because of that I never managed to finish the game, now years later I'm still having the same bug, I don't have any mod installed, I've already checked the game files, I have no idea what's going on and obviously I don't know how to solve it, if anyone has experienced this please help me

So, I kind of figured out what could be causing the bug, when you're collecting the herb, don't click on anything on your keyboard and let the animation occur, for some reason if you press any key it bugs the inventories (I I'm not sure if that's the case but I haven't had any problems so far since I started doing this)
