Honeyed Words infinite loading screen

As the title suggests I have an issue with the quest Honeyed Words.

When I go to pick up Sir Hans I hear Henry start saying "Sir hans are you ready" it cuts off instantly and fades to black with a loading screen that's infinite.

I've done this quest in the past on another playthrough and everything worked as intended but now I can't seem to get it to work.

I have had mods installed by accident (left over from a few versions ago) which I then deleted but it still wouldn't work.

Before I go and start a new playthrough with a fresh gamefile I'd rather see if anyone has another solution that I haven't tried yet.

I had the same problem but i got passed it by after pressing to open the door immediately pressing alt-tab (as fast as possible), than alt-tab again to the game. Hope it works for other people!

I have a similar issue, on the woman's lot dlc quest, when I talk to Henry I get an infinite loading screen and can't continue.

I just recently came across this bug. I really hope they fix it.

This is happening to me, too. I've seen several people claim they fixed the issue by interacting with the door right at 9pm. Another person said 11:30pm. Nothing is working for me. It's really souring me on even attempting to play the rest of the game.

So, I was able to fix this, but not by changing the time. The solution in my case was to get as close as possible to the door before interacting with it.

I'm still experiencing the issue at "Honeyed Words". I go in the evening to Capon's door, where it says "Pick up Capon" and click. It seems like a cut screen would start as voices and another angle of the door can be seen for a really short ~1/8 second time. Then the screen goes to the loading screen where it keeps loading forever.
I've tried different approaches mentioned here: trying at different times between 18,30 and 23,30, going really close or really far from the door, Alt+Tabbing.
Nothing has helped so far.

Idk which of the 2 methods worked for me. I did both at the same time. I stood close to the door (1st method). Then once I press E to interact with the door, I quickly alt+tab (2nd method).

I saw another method which didn't work for me, but looked like it worked for many. It involves opening the command tab thing ( ` ), and then using a command to limit the fps to just 10.

use console command.
press ~ and write: sys_maxFPS = 10
then press E to knock on the door.
worked for me.

If anyone still looking for another solution:
I went into Nvidia control panel and locked the fps to the minimum of 20fps. This worked too.

Indeed the best solution. Temporarily lock the maximum fps of the game to 20 fps in Nvidia Control panel.

I just found this thread, and it gave me some ideas. I play on Linux without a DE so no alt-tab for me, and I use Raedon so no Nvidia either.
I actually just got close to the door, but as soon as I activated it, I hit esc a couple times quickly. The pause menu came up then went, and it loaded the movie without the hangup I had previously.
