I have an icon pointing to my bed.
Sleep/Save doesn't come up. Only sleep.
If I try to sleep the stupid miller wakes me up.
You gong to fix this stupid STUPID bug or what?
How can I play if I can't even sleep?
If save doesn't come up you're probably trying to sleep in the wrong bed.
Which bed are you trying to sleep in?
The miller is the first one you meet.
There are only two beds. Of course I checked the other when mine wouldn't save any more.
The miller acts like I'm trespassing. "What do you want?" "Eh, What's that?" "Who is that?"
If I lay down just to sleep (the save no longer an option) , he won't let me, I wake immediately and he's standing over me.
So, because the bed isn't really mine any more the miller goes wappy or because the miller goes wappy, the bed isn't mine any more.. the two are related.
The requirement to clear this is trivial, but you should still treat it seriously if you want a 'free' room.
That's just silly.
If it was a scripted refusal to let me stay there, then the miller would wake me up and tell me to pay up - do the job for him - or leave.
As he doesn't do that and just acts broken. Then I will go with broken.
He's a character in a game, I didn't hurt his feelings, he hasn't got any to hurt.
When he plays to his script, he SEEMS alive and and so immersion can develop.
When he acts like a broken droid from star wars but with far less of a vocabulary, well there's a clue right there.
Either way he's broken.
Either because he is treating me like a stranger invading his house or for not following through with the problem of an invader and calling the law.
I should be able to play as honourable and dare I say, christian in nature.
We all know crime pays rather well. But I choose to do things in a manner I consider to be right.
So no, I won't steal from the dead OR the living. Not unless the game specifically demands it of me. From what I understand, this is not the case.
If you are a rude guest and get 'locked out of your bed' - seen by him telling you not to sleep in it, and by it not being available to the save system... then you brought it on yourself. Pay attention more - and honour other people's property and privacy.
At the least if you are going to trespass or thieve, do so in the expectation it will cause annoyance/reputation loss/increased wariness of 'outsiders'.
Wow.. just when I thought it couldn't get any higher, there you are.
From my save from when I first arrived I can go out and try to pick herbs and make enough coin but when I come back that night I can't sleep in my bed. No save option present, just a loony miller. So you think this miller with his highly sophisticated script takes umbrage and gets mardy?
Did you read any of what I said earlier or are you just a son of a blacksmith?
When I restarted the game, it wasn't happening again.
Probably did something in a different order. Maybe I scratched my arse before I farted this time. I dunno.

Theresa tells you you owe a debt to him pay up in order to live at the Mill.
You need to pay the debt by doing the quest or giving the money to the debt collectors when they come for you or, find a new home.
