[DLC] Musk of Infinite Allure Failing

Whenever I talk to Hans Capon about hiding the amulet with the letter, it leads me to the next quest "The Musk of Infinite Allure Failing", when exiting the dialogue the quest along with "Honeyed Words" immediately fail. Any way to fix this?

That's truly unfortunate, I haven't either, I've been avoiding it since then.

did you guys manage to figure it out? i tried replaying the save before it failed me, after progressing through the main story a bit more, and its still the same thing. i even tried both dialogue options and it still fails me.

is there any way to continue the quest or maybe waiting a certain period of time triggers a quest renewal? any ideas?

i cant believe i bought the dlc for this like wow

I killed the charlatan from a distance then stole the recipe

I couldn't find the charlatan, guess I'll have to scout some more then.

TL;DR: Disabled all of my mods worked for me!

I just moved my Mods folder elsewhere, started KCD with no mods, loaded my save (BEFORE telling Sir Hans that I sneaked his necklace into Karolina’s trunk and therefore BEFORE accepting “Honeyed Words”), then accepted the quest and it didn’t failed instantly, hooray! After that, I just re-saved and quitted the game. Moved my mods folder back again, load and thankfully nothing broke. Afterwards I finished the game with no issues whatsoever. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Thanks for the comment! I'd have to reinstall to see if that was the issue and hope I have a save for it.
