Does Woman's lot DLC have any benefit to the main game?
It's been a long time since I played a game and never finished it. I'm going to try it again. My question is about the DLC Woman's Lot. Does it impact the main game in any way?
I know that Woman's Lot bow aiming is different but does it also affect the main game? https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Tcz7kgWAlSc

The only thing I like from that DLC is that, with it, you can hire/adopt Mutt (A dog companion) which makes the game a lot more fun for me at least.

only benefit i found was the Lore hated the game play its self but did enjoy the story of it in some way :) but the Dlc gives the mutt as the other person said :)

The main gain from both parts of the quest is story and additional achievements, if you like to collect those. There are two parts (Theresa, and Johanka) that each come with their own side quests that you may or may not like doing. Theresa's part of Woman's Lot does provide Henry with a special shield that is nice to have in early game. However it's easy enough to get those on your own if you prefer. So long as you have the Woman's Lot DLC, you can talk to Theresa and adopt Mutt, whether or not you do the DLC quest.

Personally, I like the richness of the entire game story, so seeing more of it was fun for me.

The wiki says that you can get an alchemy recipe if you get the best ending in Johanka's quest. Its value is dubious, but it's a thing to have.

It does grant a very good shield, if not the best in the game.

I totally forgot this, and it is a -very- valuable potion recipe actually for chamomile brew - massive long term healing You do have to play the DLC AND get the "best" ending in order to get the recipe. There is plenty of advice from others on how to do that.

The shield has nothing that much special to it and players already mentioned it in this topic.

Theresa's Skalitz shield is nice (one of a kind), and so is the Devil's shield you get towards the first part of Johanka's story. Some people don't know this, but after Johanka's story, the Custodian will give you a nice short sword when you go see him. Also, the pilgrimage quest near the end of Johanka's story will grant you a learning buff whenever you sleep more than 4 hours, although it's hard to say how useful it really is.

Hound master as a skill (and associated perks) and having Mutt as a tag along companion make the DLC worth it even without the Theresa/Johanka story-lines.

Without Woman's Lot your game wouldn't have access to the companion Dog for Henry.

Be mindful this also adds enemy dogs to various groups in the game, such as various wooded camps setup to be used by Bandits and Cumans.

Who cares, you can find those for free all day long.

All I know is that hunting hares was soooo much easier with the mutt :P My old eyes had a hard time spotting them on my own.

Mutt is a pretty good addition overall, and the story lines of the quests are good even if it sucks to go from playing Henry to playing Theresa. Fortunately Theresa's quest is not all that long, although it can be pretty obnoxious particularly toward the end. I'd still say it's worth playing for the story, though.

OMG yes I remember soon as game released I got it on GOG. Bugs and crap aside, it was definitely a much harder game then without a Dog.

But yes if you do not know Womans Lot you will never have the Dog for Henry. However when you do have it, you do some stuff after first calling The Mill your new home, then you will gain access to Mutt the Dog after some conversing with Theresa. Be mindful that if you ever reach a point of sending him home to the Mill to part with you for some time, there is a cool down for that and you also can't call him back but will have to speak with Theresa again to let her know you're taking Mutt out again with you. If it so happens you want to gain control of him again and she is sleeping (usually around 2300-800 hours) you'll have to wait until she gets up and is available to talk again.

If you own Womans Lot you are not forced to those quests if you don't want to. If you own any DLC, take notice of what their icons look like from the Main Menu > DLC screen, so that in-game you will know what they mean and what path that are agreeing to go down.
