It seems like (probably xD) your system after update locked all files inside mod folder because they're from external source. Unlock them and see if they work now
1. open the program
2. paste your mods directory there with "cd" before so full command looks like this
cd D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\KingdomComeDeliverance\mods
(at least for me ofc)
3. copy and paste this command and press enter - basically everything
gci -recurse | Unblock-File
and you can shut down powershell and hopefully enjoy your game with mods
I just fixed it by first purging all mods in Vortex, then changing KCD mods to use Hardlink deployment instead of Symlink (in Vortex settings > Mods tab > deployment method) then redeploy mods.
There is actually no "hard deployment" - did you changed anything inside Vortex for this option?
My Mods also not working anymore since windows update btw.
This is the best comment ever. Sadly though, I don't like giving out awards for comments. Just know that I sincerely and wholeheartedly love this comment on account of how true it is.
Dont get me wrong, i understand what you mean - but i dont use Vortex just for KCD. Sometimes its just more handy for me to keep my Mods listed in Vortex.
I found a fix for the Issue with the "Windows Update"
1. Uninstall Vortex
2. Manually insert all the Mods inside your "Mods" folder important here it has to be "Mods" not "mods"
3. Rename all Mod Folder and delete spaces etc. just clear names
4. Create the mod_order data (if you dont already have one) and list all mods inside it you put in your Mod Folder.
5. Done your Mods should work again.
I don't give a rat's end about other games. And even for KCD you only need a small amount of convenience mods, like 'stay clean longer' or removing Mutt's howl. If you need to mod a game completely out of shape, maybe it isn't the right game for you to begin with. And those few QoL mods can be installed be just dropping them into a directory. Why do you need to introduce needless complexity?
Actually its not my first playtrough - i already played the game on Console, so now i would've enjoyed again on PC with some QoL Mods like unlimited saving etc. cause i'm playing hardcore.
