So, was it on PC or playing Atari or Intellivision or...? Where does Pong fit in? Played that on B&W TV in late 70's.
Atari in the early 80s ......then a C64 shortly after .....My step dad was a bus driver for a tour company and had connections and was able to bring the stuff back from the USA before you could even buy the stuff in Canada
It just seems like a blow with weapon means nothing most of the time
Could be me not playing it right
it is the only game I never finished
Meh I have over 200 hours and still never finished
The save system probably could have been better. I mean it is only limiting for the first little bit of game play. Once you learn you are really never more than a minute ride from a save bed and learn where the herb for schaps grow...it really could just be a F5 button. Like it would not effect the game what so ever for me if they patched one in.
I'd like to focus on just your complaints about killing people resulting in saves being 'bugged'.
This was common practice in older games, to the point that many modern games will joke about it by allowing you to kill important NPC's and be forced to "continue in a doomed world" or reload a save.
Have you tried just not murdering random NPC's for the hell of it in a game like this?
I've used exactly one mod, which is the unlimited save mod, to play the game with the time I have to play it.
If you dislike the game because of it's bugs, I'm surprised you play any games at all. At least KC:D is honest about the game's issues if you bother to inform yourself about the thing you're going to purchase before you purchase it.
Oh, and the enemies are only 'overpowered' if you didn't train. If you did, they'll almost always be 'underpowered' because they have pre-set 'difficulties' that never change.
Maybe listen to the guy in armor when he says you should start training instead of running off into the forest in only ragged cloth to be a 'hero'.
Edit: I think the best part is you gave Zomboid a thumbs up, which is a game that has an absurd amount of odd UI decisions, lock on/inventory issues, and plenty of bugs.
Combat is a little hit and miss for me, but once you train up some, then it becomes almost too easy.
For me, it's up there as one of the best games I've ever played - the atmosphere, story telling, graphical style, and music all contribute to something bigger than the sum of it's parts. (I really think the musical score should not be underestimated in the way it creates atmosphere).
Can confirm, use the sound track for ttrpg games & drawing.
