Agreed, Warhorse was a based company and I hope they stay that way.

my only worry is it's gonna be exclusive on Epic Games for a year because Embracer

Well, if it comes exclusive I will wait until Steam release.
However, I got KCD on EGS for free and wouldn't mind the same for KCD2
I later bought KCD bundle with all DLCs on Steam because I really liked the game and the deal was great. I would go the same way with KCD2, no problem.

EGS exclusive, that is indeed the modus operandi of that publisher...

Well I guess I'll be waiting until it comes out on Steam and avoid any KCD2 forums that might expose me to spoilers.

What a shame if it goes EGS exclusive.

Having a game like a KCD sequel exclusively with Epic is as wrong-headed as Warhorse taking 18 months to release modding tools after the release of KCD, thus killing the momentum and limiting the growth of the user base.

Initial marketing hype around a game's release only lasts so long. Hardcore fans of KCD such as myself and others on this forum are going to wait a year because we use Steam exclusively, but Steam-exclusive users who aren't fans of KCD will probably have forgotten about KCD2 by the time it comes to Steam.

If it's on EGS, it's gonna bomb.

Developers don't have much choice in the matter - same crap happened with Obsidian's The Outer Worlds. Game released Epic exclusive and was loved by critics and game journo's but sold only 5 million units compared to kick-starter KCD's 6 million.

I mean, TOW was supposed to Obsidian's new F:NV and there was so much hype and marketing around it - but Epic exclusivity hurt it, not to mention the game is mediocre - but most of us still bought it.

Obsidian has been a shadow of their former selves since New Vegas, but anyway, let's wait and see I guess.

Quicksilver did pull this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over Metro Exodus with the 1 year EGS exclusive.

No do not worry, if they tease April 18 here there is a reason.

Let us remain hopeful, but in truth, I have nothing against other game delivery platforms. I tend to use GOG more and more in recent years.
