Hidden merchant chests.

So every merchant has a chest that they keep their wares and money in. If you steal from that chest, the merchants no longer have that item to sell in their shop or money to buy your stuff. However, there's some merchants I just can't find the chest anywhere.

For example, the Charlatan after he moves to Ledetchko, I have no idea where he keeps his things. I have sticky fingers and I'd rather loot his wares than buy them. He has a nice book to study and a treasure map. He doesn't keep it on his body or in the clothes chest in the shed behind the inn where he sleeps.

There are some herbalists ladies living in the forest that I have no idea where they keep their stuff either.

Does anyone happen to know where the item chests are in these cases?

yeah I just looted his chest, it's next to the traders chest of wares... they're both next to each other

I went to the trader, knocked him and his guard out and went into the closet and open his store chest. The trader's stuff was there but the chest next to him didn't have the charlatan's stuff. Maybe I'll have to come back at night. It's weird though because even if merchant's have their wares out, the stuff would still be inside the chest.

Not exactly, when you sell something to a trader (or pay them groschen) they don't have it in the container immediately. I don't know how it works, but maybe things end up in container after some time.

Okay, for the record, his chest is NOT next to the TRADER'S chest. It is next to the INNKEEPER'S chest. The Charlatan's shop inventory is next to the innkeeper's shop inventory.

Still hoping someone knows where the herbalist forest ladies' inventory chests are.
