The real problem with this game is that everything is so slow
Everything and I really mean EVERYTHING. The combat, the dialogue, the clunky inventory, etc. Doing any kind of activity in this game is so sloooow. Hell, even moving the cursor to use the map is slow. Speeding up time and sleeping is so slow. The only thing that isn't slow in this game is how fast it is to become BORING.

You get filthy fast...

Unless you're slow about getting around...
it is true that most of the game time is not much more than a riding (or jogging) sim.

good immersion, but this type of immersion isn't enjoyed by everyone.

for me, it is always the rain that i hate - why do devs force us to game in the rain ???

at least give me an "off" switch ?

Not all games are meant for everyone. Come back to it when you slow down (aka mature).

I agree with the Inventory nightmare....the rest is a very enjoyable peasent simulator.I loved ,that you dont accept 100 Quests at once and grind em ,but rather wake up ,feed the dog ,go for a Hunt etc. and then go and help someone out.I understand, that people might find that boring ,tough.

You are wrong.

You can be running fast, just get some perks and do some work to proc them. You can run for longer, again pick right perks. Your horse will get blazing fast to a point where fast travel will not be an option because it is slow.
Sure, you can not speed up combat too much or you run into master strikes after master strikes but it get better as you level up your offensive skills.
KCD in 2024 is one of the best grounded RPG experience I have had ever.

OP might have an attention span problem.
I recommend taking a deep breath before you do anything.

I agree that the pauses between dialogue are a bit clunky, but I disagree about everything else. This game is very similar to RDR 2 in that regard. It's supposed to be slow. It's a slow-paced immersive game. Try to embrace it instead of fighting against it.

For example, I have noticed a lot of people treat this game like Skyrim and stand outside stores waiting for 11 hours. Instead, go to the local inn, play some dice, drink some beer, read a book, rent a room, sleep, and come back tomorrow. It'll make your experience much more fulfilling and fun.

Most of those "activities" are literally the same thing as the waiting feature, only you first walk somewhere else, and then walk back to the business you're waiting for. And why you think standing around with a screen-slewing effect makes waiting "more fulfilling and fun" is beyond me. Even if it didn't give me motion-sickness, I don't see the appeal of simulating alcohol impairment without the actual dopamine fix.

The dice game would have been a fun diversion if not for the prevalence of loaded dice and rollers programmed to be "lucky." It's no Gwent, but there's a reason dice games proliferated among nearly every single human culture in known history. If only the sharpies were a top-tier of roller in certain places, and you could actually just pass the time with a fun little side game that wasn't actually just a hustle for criminally-minded players.

I agree with you in sentiment, if not specifics though. The name of the game is immersion. It's just unfortunate how inconvenient and annoying some of the immersive features end up being, and it's even more unfortunate that so many fans adhere to the "like it or leave" and "all or nothing" mentalities. As if KCD 2 would be hurt by streamlined dialogue, inventory management, and time compression: because we all love that final-hour lag spike, or whatever.

I'm sure it's not just forum posters being typical forum posters, and trawling for an excuse to kick a dog. Like pointing and laughing at a kid with ADHD is somehow righteous because the kid first insulted a game.
