cant kill these bandits

I am still early in the game where your looking for Ginger to solve a murder. The twins have asked me to take care of 2 bandits before they will tell me where he is. These guys kill me very quickly. I don't even have a decent weapon yet. Just a Seax. Do you have to kill them. I have retried many times. They both come at me. The guy with the axe makes me start bleeding after a couple of hits. Also is being overweight effect your combat and ability to block. That might be my issue. I am carrying a lot of stuff. Maybe theres another way to find Ginger.

You can also go back the Cpt Bernard at stables and get him and the men to help, or you can sneak up on them at night and stealth kill them.

try to get at least one arrow into them or get the dog with out, train with bernard

I snuck up in the middle of the night. Knocked out one while he was sleeping. The other got up and I killed him while he was unarmed. Was a whole lot easier. Game does not really let you know you have these options .Never even told me about stealth that I remember. However it does give me more options form here on. Thanks guys.

Poison food pots, poison your arrows / sword, stealth kill with dagger at lvl 5 stealth, alchemy ofc, horseback fights, your dog, maces if all goes south get headcracker? and hit them in the face, sneak with too much noise to lure one after the next to your position, whistle to attract someone, attack at ~0400 or drink a night vision potion

but the result is you don't even know you can do it. But I think its there in the help section of the game interface. SO its not like you can't find it if you wish to read through that stuff.

My first playthrough was so amazing thanks to it. Use what game gives you. Talk to NPCs. Learn to read. Find out, learn and experience!

The result is we found out on our own and loved it.
Never read the help section. The game has decent number of alternative for quests to progress or to find info.

I just shot one of them in the eyeball with an arrow and then 1v1'd the second guy who had no armor

I just competed that quest. You have to remember Henry is still virtually untrained. Taking on two bandits is a needless act. Bernard scolds Henry about going off on his own, listen to him. Go back and get Bernard and he will accompany you to take out the bandits. Score some loot and improve your skills.

overweight is a big problem as you can't run properly. You have a horse move things to it. Also buy a room at the inn in rattay (north side) and/or Millers. There is a chest there (all linked though the space time continuum). when looting don't go for anything worse than 100 coin per unit weight. Best things to grab are swords/ gloves / rings/ spurs/expensive light pieces of armour

Yes. It's about figuring out what you can do and how you can do it.
Personally, i prefer very well explained and defined tutorials also, but i still like KCD.
