And, you are so disgusted with the consequences of failure, (of which there are none), that you will now uninstall the game (but not before posting a rant) ??
well, gee... i'll bite...
why was failure of that mission so upsetting for you ?
Also, quest urgency? Are you actually serious? I could go on for weeks with that quest on my log just fine and it wont fail, but miss some undisclosed time period in which to grab the crown, and it suddenly fails? What, did the crown spoil, like rotten food?
so no, the crown didnt spoil, but the wedding was over
Well, it has been less than 2 days, I went about the items as soon as I got the quest. The crown was the last item left. I arrived there at 7pm of the first day. The next day it failed.
This is why all people who play and especially on hardcore will have installed 'Timed Quest Indicator' mod, even tho you should get a clue in the wording of the character/quest details, I prefer to have information 'this quest is timed', so I know I need to rush it even when I return after some time.
You need to pick up the pace on those quests, that's how it is.
Yeah. I also consider that essential information. I'd rather have less immersion than wonder what a videogame wants me to be doing. How many times in games does something claim to be urgent, yet you have infinite time to complete it? How are we supposed to know different unless there is an explicit warning that there is, in fact, a timer.
That's how it is. You were given the context of this information when you got the quest '..cousin Sophie is SOON to be wed. One of the Talmberg guards will flag you down, and tell you that Lady Stephanie has requested his presence. '
Use the mod or not, this game has it's flaws, so many in fact, I decided after years to change my review to negative. Too many unfixed bugs for my personal taste.

the quest fails during "The Die is Cast"'s quest chain ->

Soldier spoke to me about the mission.
Instantly spoke with the lady.
Got the horse in 1-2 days and brought it back to the stable master, didn't speak to the lady.
Then really no idea how much time passed, but hard to believe that it was less than 5 days
10% sure about timeline
1-2 days:
got the horse and in the evening, played through theresa's storyline
95% sure about timeline
day-1 citywatch quest
day0 was too late to start hunt with capon and caught some nightingales
100% sure about timeline
day1 went hunting with capon (slept in a tent)
day2 rode for Neuhof (main mission quest) and slept in the field
day3 rode for Uzhitz and drank with the priest
day4 morning after drinking with priest -> searching for gem of the crown -> asked the artisan to start the craft
day5 got the wine and spoke to the lady, rode for the crown and finished the mission.
Looked into my saves -> 21hrs in I started the quest 42hrs in, I finished it... in between "a womans lot dlc" (theresa only so far)
It's quite a few quests, and outcomes of failing time requirements are so bad... I hate timed quests with passion.
