cheat mod not working

iv watched 3 videos on it and still cant get it to work and yes i did the ~ in game and it still didnt work i have -devmode in the start up and still nothing

Which key have you been using to try and bring up the console?

did you make sure your cheat folder is on your mods folder in the game directory?

Try opening the console with the ¬ key instead of the tilda key.

Make sure you also add the mod folder name (the one you installed) to the mod order text file. Had some trouble installing some mods because it doesn't get added automatically.

Forgot about that. Some people say there's no need to do that but I do it anyway just to be sure/.

I didn't install the cheat mod from Nexusmods, but I had others like Immersive armor, and I couldn't use any of the "-devmode" console commands like "addItem" unless I launched the game through steam and not Vortex.

Im having the same problem i extracted it to the mods folder and its not working i type in cheat and then hit tab nothing

First make sure the mod you're downloading is up to date and/or works for the current version of the game.

Second, after installing the mod via the instructions provided, manually by placing them in the mod folder of KCD or via vortex. Check ingame first if it works.

Third, if installing multiple mods and some doesn't appear ingame, check mod_order.txt file probably found in your mod folder. See if you can find the name of the mod that does not work in there. If it isn't, put it in. Make sure you copy the exact name of the mod folder name. For example, one of the mods that I had to put in manually: "CustomHenry_Face_HedgeKnight" or "UnlimitedSavingNoSchnappsVersion12611706597462"

Don't put the "" marks when putting it in the text file.

Make absolutely sure that you copied the mod folder name exactly (easier with just copy paste) and place them in the mod_order.txt file in your mod folder. If it doesn't exist. Make a blank text file with the name. No need for the .text as notepad files by default saves it as so.
