The saddle has storage good for stolen stuff untill it lt loses the stolen icon but storing it in the chest is the safest place.
No it doesn't. The chest never resets but it's not linked to Henry's global chest inventory; it's separate.
either go there at night ans sneak around the battle that's usually raging in the burned down village, or come on a horse and just charge through to your parents house. Combat should drop by the time you get there (or shortly after).
I prefer doing it with a horse since that chest is usually quite full when I play.
It has to be the chest in the room you wake up in, where the cook pot is, not the storage room chest.
Meh. I found out the same. I wake up in Rattay...and I'M piss poor. RELOAD! Take everything from the my chest, waddle up to the Runt like penguin, BOOM wake up in Rattay with all my stuff LOL
the chest in the main room of Henry's parent's house, (the chest with the nails for Theresa), will exist after waking at Rattay Mill, and the chest will contain all items stored their from the Skalitz town beginning (it works, i use it).
the chest in the back storage room, (where Henry can get a book and a few other items), vanishes after the prologue, when Henry awakes at Rattay Mill
There's an upstairs room with a bed across the courtyard from the burnt out tavern so I use the time to read a book, then drink loads of alcohol and sleep until dawn, then enjoy my hangover while riding my horse back to Peshek to sell all my loot.
