I am stuck on the Pestilence Quest somebody help me if you went through this too

So I basically never went to the Scribe and I failed to ever learn Alchemy because I thought they weren't important in this game, but then I made it to this quest and when I told Brother Nicodemus about the plague, I had to wait until he created the cure, he asked me to go to Merhojed with him once he finished the cure, but it was night time when I made it to Sasau, so I went to bed in the hospital where Brother Nicodemus is usually, but when I woke up I couldn't find him ANYWHERE like not even in Merhojed, if anyone else had this problem please tell me how to fix it because I'm so stuck on this.

He literally walks from the monastery to Merhojed real-time if I remember correctly, so you must have missed him on your way there I guess.
As far as I remember, it doesn't matter if you don't know how to brew, what matters is knowing how to read. You need to tell him the symptoms correctly so he brews the correct antidote.
Then you need to time his arrival and yours in Merhojed obviously. Make sure you administer the antidote to everyone, keep saving & loading to avoid quest failure.

either wait for him for a couple of hrs in Merhojed (Wait - 2hrs)
or reload your save. Don't lose Father Nicodemus!

You don't need to know how to read or brew potions. Brother Nicodemus will do it for you, but takes a terrible amount of time doing so. So people will die.
You will find him on the way to Merhojed or in one of the houses treating people (old Straw's house). He's easy to miss.

Once he arrives in Merhoed, a quest marker will appear on his location

Oh I don't need this discussion anymore because the captive died and I took his note and now I'm on to the next quest
