Starting 1st time playthrough. DLC question
I don't want to touch any of the DLC before I understand the game and have done the main quests.

Which DLC's should I avoid till the end of the game? Which ones improve the QOL?

For example if one of the DLC was a quest for a horse.... that you wouldn't get in the base game ( I assume you do, Just example I would want to grab that. Otherwise If it's more end game geared stuff or especially end game gear I don't want it.

ANy advice?

Should I avoid any areas that start DLC? Or should I disable them under game options completely?

Most of them you do can any time really. Woman's Lot probably ought to be done early since its events are pretty relevant to the beginning of the game, but it does use some mechanics you may not be familiar with so you might want to wait until completing "The Prey" main quest before starting it. Completing it does unlock the Dog Companion which wasn't in the base game, but it's not particularly unbalanced and considering it was the last DLC to be added to the game I doubt the devs intended you to unlock it at the end of 100% completion.

I've heard that From the Ashes requires a fair bit of money so you might want to hold off on that one til you've gotten pretty well established.

Thank you! :)
Not sure what Rooster is refering to. To my knowledge there are only two sax scenes, both with people who look like adults and are consenting. Hit Esc to skip the movies scenes.

Something to know when starting KCD first time, is leveling up Henry's skills is important. More important than player skill, imo. Though it'll be good for the player to train in combat and and learn to block as much as possible at least. Bernard can train Henry for free, and has a skill Henry can unlock.

Agree with the comment above, on Woman's Lot DLC. It doesnt add any gear, stats or perk advantages to the main game. Skip it if you dont like it. But it does fill out the Prologue story a little more, which, imo, was a nice touch. I stumbled into it via conversation with Theresa. It's the only dialogue option that has a special icon next to it. Some people love it and some people hate it. Save before hand if you want to try it, in case you change your mind, cuz you wont be playing as Henry for several solid hours if you start the DLC.

And the dog is obtainable without doing the DLC, just ask Theresa about the dog.
Doggie is another one people have mixed feelings about. If you don't like him, you can tell him to go home and he'll go back to Peshek's mill. Also mods are available if you like him, but want him to be a bit less of a nuisance. (FYI Achievements still work with mods).

From the Ashes DLC, I wouldn't do it until there's at least 25,000 groshen in the bank, and dont know what to do with them.

Treasure maps have some nice loot and whatnot, bring a spade, some lock picks, a horse for faster movement and have at least Lockpick Skill level 6 with the Luck of the Drunk Perk and some booze or Savior Schnapps to help with that. It's great if you like exploring and hand drawn map puzzles fun.

Rattay Tournament is a great way to have Henry earn EXP in various weapon types and not have to go and repair his gear afterwards. Everything is provided for Henry, for only 60 groshen. It happens once a week. Better to bring a "let's have some fun and train a bit" mindset, than thinking "i need to win" and save scum mindset(or it will be a frustrating chore). I try to do the Tourney every time i get a chance or just want to do something different.

Adventure's of Hans Capon will need to be done to finish the game, do them any time a mission becomes available.

Band of Bastards is for mid to late game, when Henry has good Combat skills and good gear.
