INSANE STUTTERING (PLS HELP I'M LOSING IT)

Hi.
So maybe a year ago I had Win 10, 16GB Ram and I tried getting into Kingdom Come: Deliverance. I didn't get into it, but at least I didn't have the problem I have right now.. Then I upgraded to Win 11, upgraded my ram to 32 GB Ram and everything was fine. Last months I have like insane addiction to this game and was extremely excited for Kingdom Come 2. So I was like "I'll finally play the first game, finish it, platinum it and then I'll buy the second game." So I installed it, but I simply just can't play it.

I made new save when I installed it and when I'm in village, town or even close to any NPC my game insanely stutters like fcking insanely. It basically freezes for like 15s, then unfreezes for like 3s and again. I just can't do anything, but when I'm anywhere else than village/town or near NPC. It runs absolutely smooth. No lags, no stutters, no problems. Clean asf.

I tried a lot of fixes from YouTube, Steam discussions, Guides, Mods but nothing helped. I was desperate asf so I even joined official KCD discord server and tried looking for help there, but still nothing. One guy helped me. It looked like it's fixed, but nah. It came back.

And honestly I'm really desperate, clueless, sad and mad that I can't enjoy this masterpiece and I don't wanna buy the second game without finishing the first so. I run like almost every game I have without any problem I think I have PC for it so. I really don't know where is the problem. I'll drop my PC specs below.

I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this.

I have exactly the same problem. Does your CPU also load up to 100 percent during stutter moments, and then returns to normal?

yep. It's so annoying like I don't know what to do anymore.

Same here, it seems it's because of the 24h2 update of windows 11.

Same! Any fixes? Everywhere online says lower settings even through a few years ago I had no issues. My specs are 32GB RAM, i9 10900k, 3090ti and installed on my nvme drive

Only spot you have me beat emi is with your ram.

Unfortunately I do not know for 100% certainty. I only recently upgraded to win11 and I have yet to see anyone other than the person I used the quote of and a random reddit post mentioning the win11 24h2 update messing with games.

I believe it because while we don't have super beast pc's I don't think we should be experiencing these levels of stuttering. I would recommend to try to play in compatibility mode maybe? I was going to try that later.

Im on windows 11 and things are fine on my 3060ti, 32gb ram system... Id go through settings and make sure everything is good, that your resolution matches your monitor, drivers are updated, etc, then I would go into the games settings and make sure its not in 4k, and the draw distance isnt maxed or something along those lines...

I am up to date.. I have been on 24H2 since October... Highly doubt that is your problem.

I would start by turning off motion blur, matching the resolution to your monitor settings, then turning the graphics down. It is a janky game that can get clunky quickly if you run settings higher than you should.

I'm sure these people tried all that, at least one said as much, so this is 'advice' is just being pedantic when the OP clearly has a problem that was not there before.

Do not be so sure of yourself that some incompatibility or win11 setting isn't causing this -- and no, I have no deeper insight here, but can add there are similar issues with other games where an older system runs a game better than newer beefy hardware all other things remaining the same (same OS, same monitor res. etc...).

A 3 1/2 month old windows update is not why this game is struggling. The game is built in CryEngine, which struggles with with CPU bottle-necked systems. These people probably just need to upgrade their CPUs. The only thing for them to do right now would be the obvious downgrading of graphic settings. I have worked tech. You would be shocked how many people literally just didn't turn settings down or update their drivers, etc. You'd also be shocked with how many are still trying to run games on HDDs...

The last thing people can do would be setting a hard frame cap at 60, or whatever is their stable bottom fps, so maybe 30 if they have to, as this game improves performance when it doesn't try to overwork.
